Sawdust to eat...

On Saturday the 26th of February I had the opportunity to go with a friend and Donnovan to a Big Cat Sanctuary. More on that later, anyhow as we driving there I got a massive pain in the back of my head and after that within seconds I got real dizzy and felt like I was falling out of the car and got real nauseous so I closed my eyes and felt better within a few minutes. I took some Excedrin and we continued on our way. We stopped for lunch and I still felt fine. On the way home I went to send John a text message and I couldn't get my fingers to work. So I called and asked him if I sounded like I was slurring my words, my friend Traci butted in and said "no you are not slurring but you are stuttering." John said to go to the emergency room just to make sure. He had taken the 2 little ones to Urgent Care that morning and they both got diagnosed with strep so there was no way for him to come up. When we got there I went to fill out the paperwork and sign in and I couldn't make my hand write. So Traci filled it out and they whisked my off. I never even sat down. I was in the ER for about 3 hours before they admitted me. They did 2 CAT scans and an MRI within the first hour. Then they did the EKG and took blood. Traci was able to get to men up there to give me a blessing. When they admitted me i cried. I wanted to go home to John, I was so scared. Traci ended up staying with me the first night and I was so drugged I didn't even know what was going on. I was in the hospital till Thursday. I was diagnosed with a stroke and a virus that had gotten into my brain. They treated me with steroids and a crappy diet. I was on the cardiac diet which has no flavor and is just pretty gross. I lost 6-7lbs while I was there!!! Our ward really stepped up to help John get the kids where they needed to be and keep them fed and everything else that I would have done. On the road to recovery I am truly grateful for all the prayers and help that my family and I have received!
