All this week Donnovan has been sick. I got a call on tuesday saying I needed to pick him from school cause he was achy and coughing and weezing. I was like serious, when I picked him up I told him he was faking just to get out of going to school. So he spent the day at home. Wednesday morning he woke up John and said he was still achy and didn't sleep well. (of course I heard him coughing ALL night long) so he stayed home AGAIN. Thursday comes and AGAIN he wakes up John (hummm I wonder why he doesn't wake me up anymore)same symptoms. So I try to call the drs and get him in. Of course there is nothing till monday!!! So I decide to call the Urgent Cares in the area to see if anyone of them take my insurance, the other opition is the ER. Since he was having a hard time breathing I was not against going there. After over an hour making phone calls I called my friend who suggested an Urgent Care she has used. Guess what they took my insurance. So I packed up the kids and off we went. 4 HOURS LATER we got home. I was so mad, is there really any reason to spend THAT much time WAITING???? I mean when the drs and nurses are standing around and the patient rooms are empty but the waiting room is full, something is a little wrong here. So after a breathing treatment, a steroid shot in the butt (I did tell him that he would have a bubble butt now) and 3 prescription later we leave. He has bronchkitus and astma problems. I am now wondering if the ER would have been faster.
